Digital Interface
The Xiegu G90 has a few digital interface options available. The official sold by Xiegu is the CE-19. What the CE-19 really does for digital modes is convert the 8-Pin miniDin on the back on the G90 to two separate data in/out lines that can be easily plugged into a computer. I’m going to be frank here and say that the Xiegu Instructions and solution for this interface are “Goofy”. The wiring and setup need a blog post of their own, which is great because you can find one from DigitalShack.org. For the CAT interface, you need the “Blue” interface cable that ships with the G90. This cable is connected to the lower TRS Jack on the side of the display unit. You will need this interface driver for CAT to work.

Radio Settings

Mode = USB
RF Gain = 50%
Hold AGC Button for 1 second and release, rotate tuning knob
MIC GAIN = 10
Press the FUNC button, POW button once, and rotate tuning knob
LINE IN = INPUT LINE
Press the FUNC button, Press POW twice, rotate Tuning Knob
Speech Compression = OFF
Click CMP Button until Microphone button is not showing on top of screen
AGC = OFF
Press AGC button until AGC is now longer on the top of the screen
(MENU 5) AUX IN VOL = 8
(MENU 15) AX IN VOL = 15
NOISE Blanker = OFF
Press NB Button, rotate tuning knob until disabled.
